The Great Debate: Inkjet vs Toner vs Offset

Summary: Printing technologies have advanced considerably. At one time the choice was simple: nothing could beat offset when it came to quality, productivity and long-run work. Inkjet and toner were considered ‘good-enough’ quality, ideal for short-run and variable work.

How times have changed: demand for long-run work continues to decrease; print quality of offset, inkjet and toner is hardly a discussion point anymore, productivity of inkjet and toner is way up, automation of offset presses made them more efficient for short-run work… How does one decide what technology to acquire: offset, toner or inkjet, or is there another solution? Find out from our experts.
